Seeds & Plants

We grow from seed. Feminized seeds. Back in the old days, before recreational cannabis was legal in California, we could buy plants from the medical marijuana dispensaries. That changed with full legalization; now there are rules about that sort of thing. The state Bureau of Cannabis Control issues licenses for cultivators, manufacturers, retailers, distributors, microbusinesses, testing laboratories, and event organizers.

To wit:

Bureau of Cannabis Control Emergency Regulations regarding the sale of seeds and live plants:

§ 5408. Live Plants

(a) A retailer shall only sell live, immature cannabis plants and seeds if all of the following requirements are met:

(1) The plant is not flowering;

(2) The plant or seed was purchased from a nursery that holds a valid Type 4-Cultivation Nursery license under the Act; and

(3) A label is affixed to the plant or package containing any seeds which states “This product has not been tested pursuant to the Medicinal and Adult-Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act.”

(b) A retailer may not sell any other live plants.

We found 9 varieties of seeds on Urbn Leaf's menu, two of which are feminized. All seeds are priced at $124 for 10 seeds. The feminized offerings are Humboldt Seed Company's Cookie Monster and OG Kush. Among the regular seeds offerings are Fire OG, OG Kush, Pineapple Muffin and BigFoot Glue.

The only offering here is a packet of 6 seeds for $81 from Equilibrium Genetics. As far as we know, these are regular seeds, not feminized.
